It's not stealing... it's appropriation!

I love having my iTunes on shuffle and am enjoying the shiny new version... so I have decided to 'appropriate' Daniel's random five. :)
(I may also be trying to keep myself busy with something that does not involve much thought in order to distract myself so I don't think about having to catch a plane!)

Sarah McLachlan - Surfacing 'Building a Mystery'
'Nice' is a good word to describe Sarah McLachlan and this song. There is only one of her songs that I think is great and it's not this one :P
Elton John - Greatest Hits 'Don't let the sun go down on me'
I'm too young to know what album this originally came from *shocked gasps*. Not my favourite song by Sir Elton but it's Elton John all the same and it's all good

Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes 'Tear in Your Hand'

I was introduced to Tori by a very good friend of mine in about year 8. I think I went to his house when I wasn't supposed to one day after school and we sat and talked and listened to Tori. There are only a couple of songs by Tori that I don't like... this isn't one of them. It's a bit more 'pop' than a lot of her stuff however.

Hunters and Collectors - Natural Selection 'Blindeye'
I seem to be getting some classics. Hunters and Collectors are awesome... what can I say. I'm not so familiar with this song though. It sounds like hunters and Collectors = good. There are also some nice little trumpety bits in it :)

Queen - Greatest Hits 'Seven Seas of Rhye"
Oh man. Talk about a classic. I don't even need to say anything about Queen. Oh Freddie! Again, I don't know which album it's actually originally from :S

Something about this song has been bothering me of late:
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, oh I do like to be beside the sea... **who knows what goes here?? Seriously, let me know!!!**
plays tiddley om pom pom... beside the seaside, beside the sea.
Now off to the airport :S

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside,
I do like to be beside the sea,
I do like to stroll along the prom, prom, prom,
Where the brassbands play
Tiddley-om-pom-pom!
So just let me be beside the seaside,
I'll be beside myself with glee;
And there's lots of girls beside,
I should like to be beside,
Beside the seaside, beside the sea.

Got it? Good.

Didya get my message?

You can't go wrong with a bit of Tori Amos. All her albums have a sprinkling of magic.
